Utah Trip – Part 3 Escalante, route 12
After Bryce we got on route 12 and drove to Escalante, a beautiful area with amazingly majestic views all around. We found a great boon docking site off Hole-in-the-Rock Road just east of Escalante.

Our first stop in Utah was Bryce Canyon National Park. We found a boondocking site called George’s Gift on Dave’s Hollow forest service road, which is off route 63 that goes into the park.
Kate, I and the dogs ventured on a fall trip to Utah in early October, 2019. It was a two week trip and resulted in so many photos that I thought it best to break it up into five parts.
Only my second trip to Jackson Meadows this year. Ben and I brought the kayaks behind the RV and Kate followed in the Jeep with Charlie.
August 28th me, kate and the dogs went for three nights and stayed in site #16 across from Gary and Cheryl.
This year the Stewart/Gast family converged on Loon Lake in July for three days of camping. They came from Portland, LA, and Elk Grove to one of Kate and my favorite lakes.
First campout at Jackson Meadows this year was last week in July for four nights with just me and Charlie. Heavy winter snow caused three of my reservations to be cancelled.
For our annual birthday hike we once again went to Fall Creek Mountain. 7500′ on the map. Six of us this year.

We arrived in Lone Pine on Sunday May 12th. I had planned to camp at Lone Pine CG however when we got there, a long up hill slog, we found it to be very tight quarters, unlevel pads, cranky camp host and simply did not feel good.
