We arrived in Lone Pine on Sunday May 12th. I had planned to camp at Lone Pine CG however when we got there, a long up hill slog, we found it to be very tight quarters, unlevel pads, cranky camp host and simply did not feel good. (more…)

After Convict Lake we did a little exploring of the area around Mammoth Lakes, got supplies and gas in town, and then found a NFS campground called Glass Creek. (more…)
After a couple nights at Silver Lake we moved on to the Mammoth Lakes area. Did the loop then went a little further south to Crowley lake. Except for some good boondocking sites on the west side of the freeway, this did not look welcoming at all. So we went directly to Convict Lake. (more…)
