Oregon/Washington October 2021 Trip Part 2

On October 6, 2021 we left to explore Oregon and Washington. Along with it being a new camping adventure we also wanted to look for possible locations to move to.
A week after camping at Jackson Meadows with my friend Gary, I went up again with Kate and Charlie. We brought our kayaks and the Jeep this time

Ben joined our family on December 7, 2005. He was just over seven weeks old having been born on October 18th. His father was pure bred golden retriever who lived a couple doors down from his mom who was half yellow lab and half golden.

Early October is the best time to see the fall colors along the eastern slope of the Sierra so we’ve been wanting to do this trip ever since our last trip in May of 2019 to Lone Pine.

This year for Kate’s birthday (Halloween), we went up to Fort Bragg and camped in MacKerritcher State Park for three nights. No dogs this time so we brought the jeep and bikes.
We left Fish Lake on a newly paved forest road 640, 28 miles to hwy 70. Very scenic and nice road. I had been told at the Bryce visitor center that it was now paved and excellent for aspen autumn leaves.
