Biggs Point at Loon Lake
This was our first trip to Loon lake this year and it was extremely sad. We lost our littlest member of our family, little Mr. Biggs, on 6/23/16, just the day before our trip. It was good however in that we got to process our grief through reflection on his wonderful life, and all the good times we all had. Kate, Ben and I all missed Biggs terribly. Everything reminded me of him since he has been so all inclusive in our lives. We went to a place that I had fished back in 2014 with Ben and Biggs. Biggs had found himself a perfect granite nitch with a tiny pine tree that provided shade and a good resting place while I fished for trout. We thought it was so beautiful there, that it was fitting to name it, Biggs Point. I flew the drone from there for three days and made the movie below, dedicating it to Mr. Biggs at the end. I cry every time I watch it.
The weather was terrific and the lake was full to the brim. I caught six small fish that I let go, which was fine with me. I wasn’t too much into fishing anyway. We took the kayaks carrying the drone, out to Biggs Point while Ben swam alongside. Ben definitely got a lot of exercise in on this trip, as he usually does. Camping for me is not going to be what it was, now that Biggs is gone. It will be something different and I will adjust in time.

Wonderful memoriam Beautiful.
