Kate, the dogs, and I took the 2.5 hour drive to Wrights Lake in mid-September. The last couple miles is a very narrow road making it impossible for two cars to pass without driving off the road. (more…)
Right after Labor Day, I went up to Jackson Meadows by my lonesome (no pups) for four nights. Very peaceful. Fished, kayaked, read in my hammock, watched a couple of movies, and hiked around the lake. (more…)

After a couple nights at Silver Lake we moved on to the Mammoth Lakes area. Did the loop then went a little further south to Crowley lake. Except for some good boondocking sites on the west side of the freeway, this did not look welcoming at all. So we went directly to Convict Lake. (more…)
